Freshly prepared food, delivered in person
Balfood Kitchen was built around a simple observation: plenty of people can cook food, but very few can feed you on time, at the temperature you wanted, with a smile. That gap is our business. We started out cooking for family gatherings, then for neighbours who asked if they could buy a portion, and the little enterprise went from there. The pots got bigger, the menus got longer, but the care per plate did not drop an ounce.
Every order we receive is prepared after we receive it. Nothing sits under a heat lamp, nothing is batch-frozen for a week and reheated. Ingredients arrive from the local market in the morning and are chopped, spiced and cooked in sequence so that your collection time is exactly when the dish will be ready. By staying close to the kitchens, our planners keep the diary manageable and the flavours tight.
Our planners do more than take orders?they carefully map each day’s demand to the kitchen’s real capacity, so traffic jams become nothing but a reason for heat packs. The result is a service that regularly feeds fifty-plus people on a single evening across many neighbourhoods, and keeps them coming back not for the novelty, but because the curries taste exactly the same today as they did the day we started. As simple as this may sound, it depends on a thousand little habits the few most people notice but nobody wants to compromise on.
We work from early morning until late on every day but Sunday, packing deliveries in insulated boxes that hold cooked heat like a licensed clutch. Leftovers go to the charities we have supported since the first autumn, so waste is about as low as we can get it. Like someone just brought the food from a mother’s stove to your door steps, we hope to build that trust, plate many recollections home.
